A Short But Sweet Interview With Angelina Jolie

imnotobsessed.com - I guess Angelina Jolie wasn't in the mood to get too chatty when Us Magazine asked her several questions while she walked the red carpet for the 'Salt' premiere.

On possibly playing Cleopatra: "I would be honored, but we haven't gotten the script yet."

On filming 'Salt': "I had a great time being her. She is so many different people."

On whether or not her children will watch this new movie: "I can't show my kids movies where people are trying to kill me."

On whether or not Brad Pitt enjoyed the film: "He liked it."

I guess she didn't want to give them too much to run with considering they bash her relationship on a weekly basis. These celebrities HAVE to take it personally - don't you think?

They look like genuine friends (I'm not trying to suggest anything inappropriate :), which I bet makes for great chemistry on-screen. (I guess I should add the disclaimer that although the photo caption says they're goofing off between sets, who knows, maybe they're actually filming a scene?)

I like Mila's outfit, but I have to ask: what's up with Justin and the geek look? Between his looks for 'Social Network,' 'Bad Teacher,' and this movie, he seems to have embraced his inner geek with his character choices.

A... Misunderstanding Kept Julianne Hough From Dating Ryan Seacrest For A While

imnotobsessed.com - I've already told you I find the apparent match of Julianne Hough and Ryan Seacrest a little... baffling. If this TMZ story is true, then it turns out the 'American Idol' host been after Julianne for a few years, but Julianne wasn't interested, due to a... misunderstanding, I guess you could call it.

Our spies in North Carolina tell us Hough was in town for her birthday dinner at a Morton's steak house the other night with a bunch of friends ... and at one point during the meal, she was asked, "How did you and Ryan get together?"
Julianne responded, "He was after me since I was 18 ... he totally wasn't my type ... I thought he was gay."
But Hough continued, "After a few years, he was persistent ... so I went out with him on a date and I realized how much I liked him."

(Julianne just turned 22 on July 20, so that means Ryan pursued her for nearly four years. Persistent!)

Overlooking the rather surprising idea that TMZ has spies in North Carolina (seriously?), and assuming this is true, it sounds like Julianne's mistaken impression of Ryan is pretty much every straight guy's worst nightmare, wouldn't you say? LOL

Selena is also getting ready to say goodbye to her Wizards of Waverly Place co-stars, as she recently said this would be the final season of the show that made her famous.

An unofficial shortlist has surfaced that lists Sony Pictures' top candidates for who should nab the starring role in their adaptation of Stieg Larsson's global megaseller The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. And guess who isn't on the list?

Kristen Stewart, the lady who we think should have landed the role a long time ago, is still being looked over. And it's all because those K.Stew haters can't see past their ruddy little noses to recognize the talent that darling K. has been quietly showing off—everywhere but Twilight! Open your eyes, Hollywood!


Here's the scoop on the Stewart-less situation:

EW reports that Sony set a release date for the flick, even though the movie's lead role of Lisbeth Salander has yet to be cast. A rumored shortlist has made its way through the circuit, with a bevy of young up-and-comers from the recognizable to the obscure.

Arguably worthy actresses on the list include Ellen Page (Inception), Carey Mulligan (An Education), and Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland), as well as more low-key talent like Rooney Mara (Nightmare on Elm Street), Emily Browning (Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events), and...you know what? Don't even care!

We feel so strongly about this one, dolls: this is the role that will transform Kristen from a tween favorite to a genuine Academy-recognized babe—as needs to happen. We know Kristen was mentioned as a possible candidate before, but it seems the tides have turned and she's almost surely out.

Lisbeth is a struggling, angst-ridden, sexually combustible (and very take-charge) brilliant young girl, and we think Kristen has the perfect everything for it. Hell, we even picture her when we're reading the books! (eonline.com)

Foxy Brown Busted for Lacking Restraint

Here's hoping Foxy Brown knew that she didn't need to be arrested this week to be a contender in our Miss Behind-Bars Pageant.

While it was her previous stint in the pokey that won her a spot, the fierce little hip-hopper was busted Wednesday for allegedly violating an order of protection that stipulated she couldn't get too close to a neighbor she was accused of throwing a BlackBerry at in 2007.

"Bitch, what are you looking at? What the f--k are you looking at?" Brown yelled at Arlene Raymond when their paths crossed today in Brooklyn's Prospect Heights neighborhood, according to the New York Daily News.


Raymond, who unsuccessfully sued Brown (real name Inga Marchand) for assault and harassment, then called the cops.

Brown was arrested and booked on suspicion of criminal contempt, a class E felony, for violating the protection order. Her rep hasn't yet responded to requests for comment.

The 31-year-old rapper spent roughly seven months in jail for violating her probation multiple times after copping to assaulting a pair of NYC manicurists in 2004.

Brown pleaded guilty to menacing with regard to the dumb smart-phone incident with her neighbor and was sentenced to time served. Raymond was granted a restraining order. (eonline.com)
